6 days until first language cafés of Nordic Day 2026

Nearly 100 people have already signed up for this year's Nordic Day language cafés! Last year, it was Danish that surprised us with high interest. This year, it seems to be Norwegian’s turn as Sunday is already fully booked. If you'd like to speak the language of the fjords, there are still some spots available for Monday! This year’s Nordic Day language café event is again turning into a global phenomenon. While most participants are from Nordic countries, we have received bookings from as far as North America, Africa, and Southeast Asia! 🌍 As a reminder, there are 8 languages you can practice online with fellow Nordics this year: Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Icelandic, Faroese, Greenlandic, and Northern Sámi.

As a last-minute addition, starting today, you can also join a language café in Elfdalian, a North Germanic language spoken by around 3,000 people who live or have grown up in the locality of Älvdalen,…

Thank you for speaking up!

On behalf of Articulatte I want to extend my gratitude and thank you all who participated in a language café this fall and embraced the power of a simple chat with a fellow human, be it once or every week 🥳

We deeply appreciate the wildly positive and encouraging feedback we have received from you, directly as well as through our partners Finlandsinstitutet i Stockholm and Språkambassadörerna 🙏 It brings us joy to hear that language cafés have indeed helped people feel more comfortable to speak another language 🫶

We’re excited to return with a fresh season of language cafés as well as new concepts (such as a Finnish language café course 🤫) after New Year ✨🪩

Merry Christmas and happy New Year! 🎄

The Articulatte team,

Kasper, Thomas & Yevheniia
