Hello fellow multilinguals!

First of all, thank you to everyone who participated in the Nordic Day event on 23 March! We, along with our partners, were delighted that over 130 people showed interest and signed up to practice languages from the Nordic countries, ranging from Finnish to North Sámi to Greenlandic 🥳 It’s even cooler to see that so many of the event participants have since become regular language café visitors, and with that made our language learner community more vibrant ☺️

Speaking of good vibes, one of Nordic Day’s beloved Icelandic language café hosts, Siggi from Icelandic Made Easi(er), is offering three language café sessions on our platform this spring. Whether you’re a beginner who just thinks Icelandic ponies are cute or a connoisseur of Icelandic mythology, this is your chance to practice your Icelandic in a relaxed setting with other curious spirits.

Here’s the latest from us, neatly wrapped for you 😊 Some of you may have already noticed that our language cafés are expanding this spring, with more hosts, time slots, and languages now available. Starting with the relaunch of Swedish language cafés (on 4 March), Språkambassadörerna are doubling the fun with the introduction of Finnish language cafés, in collaboration with Finlandsinstitutet.

Nordjobbare, this one’s for you! Ever longed to relive those summer job memories from another Nordic country? Here’s your chance! Nordjobb Sverige is hosting four Swedish language cafés, starting Thursday 20 February – a perfect opportunity to mingle with fellow Nordjobbare! We’re also delighted to announce our first local partnership with the charming town of Kristinestad, giving you the chance to practice Swedish, Ostrobothnian style 😎 Alltså, välkommen Nordjobb Sverige och Kristinestads Medborgarinstitut!

Exciting news! We're thrilled to announce our partnership with Felix to bring us brand-new Mandarin language cafés! These language cafés are perfect for anyone eager to take their first steps in Mandarin conversation—or just curious to practice in a friendly, relaxed setting 😊 Felix himself is an avid learner of Chinese. From doing an exchange in Chengdu to earning a degree in Hong Kong, and even creating an app to make learning Chinese characters easier for others, he’s happy to share his passion and experiences with us. Felix will be hosting his first language cafés next Tuesday, 10 December!

Dear fellow language learners, As Articulatte's first season as a language café platform nears its end, we'd like to express our gratitude to all you open-minded, daring language learners who have been part of the journey from early on 💛 First and foremost, a special thank you to everyone who participated in a language café this season. You dared to speak, and we salute you for that. Speaking a foreign language—let alone engaging in conversations in one—is a challenge many avoid, no matter how far along they are in their language journey.

Secondly, we'd like to extend our appreciation to our dear language café partner, Språkambassadörerna, and namely to their inspiring hosts for showing us that language learning by speaking can be not only approachable but also fun.
